I need you to understand something. I wrote this for you. I wrote this for you and only you. Everyone else who reads it, doesn’t get it. They may think they get it, but they don’t. This is the sign you’ve been looking for.
You were meant to read these words.

The Campaign For Shorter Days
When we get to the end of this, you're going to need to remind me whose turn it is to leave.
Now I understand why you did it. I knew it, I just wouldn't believe it. But we both felt this way. You were just the first to admit it. I'm glad you're happy now.
I knew, you knew, we knew -- that this wouldn't last long. I thought (and you thought) that we could make it last a little longer. But there isn't always room for this sort of Big, and sometimes infinity can only be contained in a single moment.
Thank you for letting us share one last kiss, slowly unclasp hands, and walk out the door together.
the cycle wouldnt be a cycle if it didnt come back around, I suppose~
ReplyDeleteI even forget sometimes wether we're fighting or not..

I don't completely understand this.
ReplyDeleteThat's what makes it pretty,
and human.
To me,
at least.
Should be "whose", not "who's".
ReplyDeletei love this.
ReplyDeleteNicely spotted, thanks.
