The Moths Don't Die For Nothing

I'm sure people just kiss each other. I'm sure that sometimes you're talking and somehow two people move closer and closer to each other and then, they just kiss. I'm sure it happens all the time. But I'm also sure that a kiss is never just a kiss.

  1. I tried to convince all of them that this happens.
    No one believed me.

    One should not loose hope!

(And I agree. I'm sure of it!)

  2. But. Sometimes two people are so, so lonely.

And then a kiss is just a kiss. A physical vodka+orangejuice, if you will.

  3. maybe there was a time that a kiss is never just a kiss, but with the cruelty that this world has. sometimes a kiss is just a kiss, nothing more nothing less. its just sad. :(

Why can't it be? Why do I have to feel something after he kissed me?

I thought I had this under control.

But now I've become the pathetic girl who waits to see if he comes online, who worries that now he;s lost interest in me, or thinks I'm a slut.

    I hate myself for that.

  6. A kiss won't be just a Kiss if it makes sense if we kiss each other.

The world moves when a Perfect Kiss collide.

  7. A kiss is what you make it.
When it's an addiction, then sometimes it is meaningless. Whoever your fix is, it's just a kiss.

  8. You're absolutely right -- that does happen, all the time. And it is a beautiful thing.

You're wrong, though -- sometimes a kiss is just a kiss. (and that is a beautiful thing, too)

Tossing a handful of kisses in everyone's general direction...catch some.

  9. likewise, SOMETIMES, being the keyword here, the moths DO die for nothing.

  11. interesting...and argumentive! However, I'm one who believes Everything Happens For A Reason...and while some say kissing has lost meaning, the gesture is forever an intimate one so what one goes through/endures to deminish the intimacy, means even more than the actual kiss! Even a sex addict has a "philosophy" (meaning) behind every encounter...so idk, maybe the kiss isn't screaming as loud of a message as the kisser!! ;)
So while the kiss itself may lack passion & love, etc...it can shed light on the mentality of the person kissing??! People who aimlessly kiss all the time...usually have an untold story..&& i'm certainly the one who listens...

  12. Although sometimes a kiss is just the first step of a guy's attempt to get into your pants... At which point the sex will be just sex.

Sometimes I wish it were just a kiss.

  13. yes.. sometimes.. a kiss is not merely just a kiss.. and after the kiss they cant even remember what was the last conversation about before the kiss.. and just continue kissing. and kissing..

  14. A kiss is sometimes just a kiss.
A smile is sometimes just a smile.
And yes, sex is sometimes just sex.

But when it isn't, it's so much more beautiful.

  16. I really just wish that I could kiss you again. To see if it's only a kiss, or if there any hope of feeling left at all.

I wish that you could see just how much you have truly hurt me.

  17. I knew that.
When you started that fight with me,
    and took me home,
and sat in her car in the parking lot, and kissed her for hours.
When I couldn't remember the last time we actually kissed.
    More than a fast peck.

  18. Sometimes, a kiss is just a kiss to one of the kissers, but to the other it is more. Those are the saddest times of all.

  19. you've never come closer and closer and kissed me.
    i wish you would.

  20. You brought this all on yourself. None of it is my fault. But in some odd way you move on with your day-to-day life without a second thought, glance or doubt perhaps. But I on the other hand am left to stop. Take it all back.

  21. A kiss is not just a kiss when he says out loud, "My heart is beating so fast". That's the purest form of kiss - for him. But what if you don't feel the same at the first kiss? Why do you then miss him so much when he's gone? Is that your head just missing the familiarity of him? Or have you grown to love him? Or is the universe just telling you that it is possible for someone to feel that way about just plain you?

  22. Oh honey, a kiss is never just a kiss.

I'm not saying a kiss can't just be platonic, or a kiss can't just be for pure physical gratification. But it always means something. Maybe "I love you.", or "I wish I could love you.", or "Tonight, I will love you.". Maybe even "I've always loved you. I always will love you. But you won't love me, and I can stand that."

Maybe nothing happens after a "just kiss". Maybe the "just kissers" don't do anything more. Maybe they just move on with their lives.

But I guarantee you, they'll never forget that kiss. A kiss always means something. Something you don't want to admit, or something you're admitting to each other. Close-mouthed or spit-swapped, it always means something.

  23. We moved closer and closer. And we kissed. And I want it to be, so much, just a kiss.

But somehow, I don't think it will be.

  24. Or maybe...I wish it was so much more. A sign. A clue. Full.

    But it's not.
