The Infinite Distance

Your poetry is lonely. And yet, you write to feel less alone.

  2. i write to feel alive, to remind myself that in the dark there is an escape. because even when i think it's just me buried deep under the ground, i look around and find others. all scratching at the walls to get out; all knowing there's something much better than where we are.

  5. Because when I have laid down the loneliness in verse, it becomes something outside of myself, not myself.

  6. You must have been there, where we all went to be responding to this. Let your ego go and accept these words. I wrote you things you will never read. You will see

  7. I miss the good in you. Even though the part of you that I miss was never here at all.

  9. I do a good job at unfolding myself through the night but during the day I've become another fold
    in the cabinet amongst others.

  10. You could have just said - you are lonely, so you write to feel less alone.

But you didn't and for that I love you.
