The Night Is A Tunnel
I have told the sky all my loneliest thoughts of you. And all it does is shine star light back at me. But I guess that's what makes it such a good listener.
But like most people, the sky and the stars are too far lost and caught up inside of itself to ever really hear or be there. It will echo emptiness in response for eternity.
I wish you'd let me hear your thoughts. (Then we both might not be so lonely in this hollow shine.)

Do you know why do I tell the stars instead of you? Because sweetheart, there are things I'd rather keep for myself and myself alone, those things about how deep my feelings for you and how broken I am because of you, and how I'm not ready yet to leave you and you know what, I'm trying, because I know that you'll be just fine without me, even you think you won't be, but I know you will. I'm right now experiencing the slack jawed, resigned terror that comes from disappointing someone you want to love forever. I can't even speak to the stars because, they remind me of you.
