The Noise And The Colour
When you make eye contact, break it immediately. Check the time repeatedly. Because it's easiest to be alone in a crowd. And I am more alone in a crowd, than I ever am on my own.
I can't hope they will be able to give me what I need, even if they could, I wouldn't be able to return the favour. So it's easier to stand in the silence than to disappoint them, or me.
