SOPA/PIPA acts, I believe, will not pass..I mean, how can they? Taking away outlets for music, pictures, art, all media even, is taking away from expression and the expansion and awareness of our generation(s) from a cultural standpoint. Though, MegaUpload was just recently shutdown, it is completely outrageous that the U.S. govt. shut it down, as it was based out of Hong Kong..just because there are certain copyright laws here, doesn't mean the govt. should try and control the rest of the world's. They say file sharing hurts the music industry, but that is completely -false-. There is a difference between the music industry and the record industry; the music industry isn't hurting..I think the record part is just a fraction of the entire music industry, though, it has been obviously trying to control the whole thing. Music is thriving and more alive than ever.
