I need you to understand something. I wrote this for you. I wrote this for you and only you. Everyone else who reads it, doesn’t get it. They may think they get it, but they don’t. This is the sign you’ve been looking for.
You were meant to read these words.

The Eventual Ghost
You have until the hour you die to do everything you've ever really wanted to do and say everything you've ever really wanted to say. It sounds less fair when you get older.
Thank you. This hit home for me. My nan used to tell me to do all the things I wanted to before I lost courage and got old. She died last Wednesday but she must still be around somewhere for you to write this for me.
Truth is, When you realise you almost died, You start living every day as if it's your last And try to do all that's important to you. And Nothing else matters...
I almost died. I still don't live every day as if it were my last. On a global scale my problems are nothing, but to me, my problems ruin my life. I can't do everything. But I will try to do something.
does it really matter though? without the death peering over your shoulder will you really ever say what you mean or do what you want? because even at this young age the words get caught in my throat and seem to be building higher and higher in my chest. and the weight of the world is almost too much to bear.
We die every single night we go to sleep only to be reborn upon waking. Everyday we get a new chance to live again. Every precious breath, a miracle. A moment to carry on. Someone famous once said, 'We are age'. How beautiful*
I hope I have the courage to do so.
ReplyDeleteIt's a long time. But,it will never be long enough to do everything I want and say everything I want to say.
ReplyDeleteUnless you live the life you have always dreamed of, being courageous and brave, speaking from your heart at every turn...
ReplyDeleteNo truer words could be read today, on my 21st birthday...
ReplyDeleteThank you.
