The Last Part Of This Sentence Is Still Yours

You still take things from me in the most beautiful way.

You are still the only way I can sleep, when I wake up to tell you, I cannot sleep.

You still make sense in a way that only birds know when they leave winter.

Hi, my name is Jenna and I thought that leaving a comment on your most recent post would maybe up the chance that you read this. I do not have a broken heart and I don't have an incurable disease that I know of. But one thing I know is that your words touched me in a very unusual way. I've never been able to put my thoughts and beliefs into words until I picked up "I Wrote This for You" in a barnes and nobles a couple years ago. For an entire year I kept your words to myself, but then I started to hate listening when someone else can have the chance to hear it or see it or feel it as well. I started to share the book with people I love and people whom I am not particularly fond of. Recently, I have writing down quotes from your blog and your book on little pieces of paper and leaving them in public places or in the creases of a desk. I hope a stranger will find it when they are having a bad day or even a good day and share it with their friends or another stranger. I find brilliance in a gift and an opportunity to find greatness in others the same way I find brilliance in your work. Someday, I will be a writer. Thank you for your time.

...and yet when you leave, I am left with a gnawing emptiness that no one else can fill. Or was it right that I had to leave you because you were tearing me apart?
