were not in high school anymore, were mid 20's; being cool shouldn't matter.
Thank you for loving me even though I wasn't cool. I'm sorry I was so mean to you. It's just, the teasing would have been worse if they'd had any idea how much I loved you. It's been 10 years. I still love you just the same as always. I haven't seen you in years. You'll probably never know.

Wow. The title and the sentence make me think so much of myself and another person I admire a lot and who will surely be great in the future... but you don't just walk up to people and say "Hi, I admire you", do you ?
