Then you've merely chosen to relinquish control of your decisions. In the end, no one really chooses anything for you, but you.

Yes. And relinquishing control of my decisions is easy. That's not always the best thing to do, but if I do something disappointing and I had no other options, I can't be blamed. I guess that says a lot about me. I try too hard to please people, and I only follow--never lead.

I understand wanting to be blameless, safe & comforted in that accepting state, very much so.
A few years ago, I would balk at the idea of being a leader, making decisions for myself, for others. But I have become a leader to myself, & to others at various times. And so I keep growing & surprising myself.
One of the most exhilarating aspects of making a choice is the self-fulfillment, even if you seem to end up further behind then you started. You can feel blameless, safe & comforted by the very fact that you made it happen, believe it or not.
But you never know until you try. And it's always scariest before you jump.
I hope, one day, you live to please yourself, and the people you surround yourself with are pleased by that.
I don't know how to make a choice. Even when I make one, I doubt the option I take.

no matter how difficult it may be to make a choice, do remember to live a life with no regrets. that's more important than anything in the world. we are only humans. we sometimes make bad choices. whatever it may be, i'm sure there will be that special someone supporting u all the way...
