The Problem With What Matters

Things matter even when you think they don't.

They matter when you’re thinking about something else.

Things are important when they’re not obvious, when they’re subtle, like the curve of a lip.

They’re important in the spaces that most of us miss.

Because we don't know what matters until it passes us by.

Until it's too late to grab it, hold it and say,

"I'm sorry, I didn't know this mattered.

I didn't know it was important."

beautiful put words that are terribly true. we don't know what really matters till it's to late- and that indeed is a tragedy. not knowing how precious these moments are- smiles, feelings- until there is no longer a possibility to hold onto them

This comes at the right time in my life. It's like a message from the Universe

I agree; everything that takes place in this life always matters, even if we are not aware that it does. Yes, there's a reason for everything that happens, especially to us in this life; regardless if it is negative or positive.
