The Time Before Now

I began thousands of years ago on a cave wall somewhere in Africa. I painted the idea of you before symbols could make sounds in our heads. And each time I come back, I'm the same. This is not the first time you've read this. I've told you a thousand times over a thousand years. I am no more the first me that's ever been than you are the first you. And we certainly won't be the last.

and I always pray that in all our lifetimes we found each other and that we will find each other in our lifetimes after this one.

And there's a thousand more years to come...

The notion that the feelings that we feel are because of us, yet transcend us, sustains me.

I like what you said, chop logik. Explain a bit more?
This entry is intense. It really is a great idea that you write... It's just such a good thing.

I was trying to say that we cause this love to be born, yet this love has existed before us, & will continue after us. We keep it flowing, in our little world of smiles & touches. But part of what makes it so very magical is that we all get a taste the deep, vast truth that is love. A very real creation of something bigger than ourselves, bigger than all of us. That whole idea gives me hope for the day to come.

It's like a lake, really. The more words I throw in it, the muddier it gets. Better we just sit beside it, and keep each other warm.
