The Blue Lines

I couldn't convince you that the blue you see is the same blue that I see. But maybe that's how lovers know they're meant to love; they see the same blue. And they both know it.

No I think what makes lovers know they're meant to love is when they might not see the same blue, but they still love each other in spite of it.

I hope that happens to me someday.

It's exhilarating knowing you're on the same emotional level as another person, and knowing they know as well. Those moments of connection sustain lovers through times when the shades of blue begin to differ...

Sometimes you both know that you see the same blue lines and then you realize that the blue lines are leading you to separate journeys.

And even if we don't see the same blue, we would always find a way to see a common ground, to understand each other's views and see from each other's eyes.

Where do you get your inspiration from?

Each day, I think of the one thing I'd like to be able to say to someone but can't.

Or I try and think of what someone else would tell me if they were in my shoes.

Thank you for your incredibly kind words, they are sincerely appreciated.

glad finally i can find this blog... it's so amazing...

i agree with anonymous when he/she said : what lovers know they're meant to love is when they might not see the same blue, but they still love each other

sometimes we know we're not the same, we don't like the same thing, but still we choose to be together

I'm glad to have discovered your blog (through a friend of mine). It's a beautiful blog, truly one of my favorites. And I always find it really inspiring and nostalgic to read your posts. Thank you for writing!

I like one a lot. But then again, I have many favorites.

But this one is really nice. It's so great to be on the same emotional level with someone where you have a mutual understanding of each other and what you're going through, whether it's a romantic relationship or a regular friendship.

And what you write is so beautiful.

my girlfriend got the words "because we see the same blue" across the top of her back for us, because of this quote from your page. is it a quote by you?

I'm sorry, I'm standing here trying to tell you that this is true. That these colors are here. But you just shake your head, screaming that black is red and red is some awful shade of green. We can't keep pretending that it will get better. We don't see in the same direction. I look forward, you look back. Then you look away as I stare self-consciously down at my shoelaces because maybe it's me. Maybe I don't see things the right way. But my blue will never be your blue no matter how many times I apologize.

Words like blue only serve to describe the undescribable. Pure love cannot be contained by such words, but it can be felt. I have felt it's awe in you, and in those who are also warriors of light.
